My Metroid Prime 3 review is coming soon.....

Yes, I've been busy playing MP3 since the release a couple days ago. I haven't had as much time to play it as I would like because of various things coming up, but I have been playing as much as I can. I will review the game soon, I can't give an exact date but you can be sure you'll be seeing it. The game is awesome and much better than certain reviews would have you believe. I actually think this game has been unfairly rated by many sites or just not really appreciated as it should. I will also break down all the important details of this game without spoiling the story. I'll talk to you all soon!

New Dragon Ball Z: Budokai Tenkaichi 3 video

Those new levels look very nice I must say and much more improved than the slightly baron landscapes of the second game.

Manhunt 2 cleared for release in the US

Link

"ESRB gives game Mature rating on PS2, PSP and Wii

Rockstar has finally received some good news over Manhunt 2: the game has been cleared for an October release in the US.American ratings board the ESRB has granted the game an ‘M’ classification – which allows sale to consumers of 17 years and older – after Rockstar submitted a modified version of the title.

In June, Rockstar parent Take 2 was forced to suspend the release of the horror title when the ESRB issued an Adults Only rating."

This is great news for all those looking forward to buying the game THIS year instead of waiting for a long appeal process. Add another game to your holiday buying lists, I think Manhunt 2 will be worth the look.

New Resident Evil: Umbrella Chronicles trailer

The game is looking a lot more exciting than previously seen to go along with its improved graphics. The game may very well be worth picking up later this year, lets just see how more of the hands on impressions turn out.

To best see the trailer on this site, you should use Mozilla Firefox. Internet Explorer seems to not crop the trailer correctly making part of the flash player cut off from view.

New screens for Resident Evil: Umbrella Chronicles

These screens were taken from recent scans and are now in better quality. RE:UC is really shaping up to be one of the Wii's best looking games. Can you pick out the screen shown here that appears to be using Normal Mapping?

Metroid Prime 3 Corruption graphical improvements

These are two screen shots of the same event taking place in MP3. The screen on top is from the MP3 build taken from September of last year and the second is from the final build of the game. The final build definitely shows more detail in the Captain's (or Sargent) face and more detail in the ship in the background on bridge. I'd say it was time well spent making sure this game looked as polished as possible before it was ready for release. Thank goodness a developer is actually going the extra mile for us Wii owners (even though its Retro and we knew they would).

I'm taking a short break from all the Metroid hype to bring you some new screens to the sequel of one of my favorite Wii games. This game is going to be well worth waiting for also.

Metroid Prime 3 Corruption Preview (Spoilers)

Again a warning to all who might watch this: This video contains scenes of new planets in the game (they look incredible) for those of you who don't want to ruin your experience with the game I suggest thinking twice before watching. I'm starting to think I shouldn't be watching these either....

*Edit* It looks like Nintendo does not want us watching these videos also, they are removing them from Gametrailers as I type this. I can't say I'm upset by this, I don't think I could take spoiling the game for myself anymore.

*Edit #2* Thank you Youtube!

Metroid Prime 3 Corruption opening gameplay (Spoilers)

Don't watch these movies if you do not want to know exactly what happens in the first 15-20 minutes of the game. They are not really huge spoilers, but if you are the kind of person that doesn't want to see any part of the game story before you play it - you may not want to watch.

Enjoy.

Metroid Prime 3 update "PED"

Could this suit be the cause of Samus being able to enter into "Hyper Mode" ? It would certainly explain it well. Nintendo is such a tease with these videos....

Metroid Prime 3 update: Aurora = Mother Brain

The MP3 Preview Channel with the trailer entitled "Aurora" shows an explanation of the origins of Mother Brain:

Galactic Federation Scientists announced 20 years ago (20 years before Metroid Prime 3) the invention of an Organic Super Computer known as the "Aurora Unit". Thousands have been built since that time. Originally used for scientific purposes they were later used in Government, Business and the Military roles. They are given Male, Female or gender neutral persona's depending on the needs of the staff of the facility they are to serve in. A vast network links all existing Aurora's allowing them access to a tremendous database without fear.

Will we be fighting one of these "Aurora's" in Metroid Prime 3? I would hope so, since they went to all the trouble of explaining that there are thousands of them out there. It appears that in the beginning of Metroid Prime 3 the "Aurora Unit" in the Command Ship Olympus that Samus boards is corrupted by a Virus and the Space Pirates are behind it. Many connections are starting to unravel as the Prime Saga nears completion.

More updates to the channel will take place on August 16th.

Metroid Prime 3 month continues with more trailers

Keep expecting more trailers as the month continues and the hype builds for Metroid.

Metroid Prime 3 month continues

Another video that just makes you want the game more doesn't it?

Metroid Prime 3 month continues

This trailer is from a month ago but it is still worth posting since it gives such a nice look into how the game is controlled. It also looks very nice.

Metroid Prime 3 Corruption channel

That was a nice surprise to wake up to I must say. The game looks better than ever and the announcement that Super Metriod is coming on the VC on Aug. 20th is also great news.

New Resident Evil: Umbrella Chronicles scans

I know that many of you have been less excited about this game after recent play tests, but do yourself a favor and click on these screens. This game looks very impressive graphically. The amount of detail shown on the enemies faces and number of them on screen at once is really impressive, and everything is running in real-time. Its seems to look better than the E3 build we saw last month.

Also, I'm not sure if I missed something in a previous game but isn't that a new character with Jill in a couple of those pics? Feel free to post a comment to let me know if I'm mistaken on this.

One has to wonder if the Wii can output these kind of realistic graphics in real-time, what is holding back Capcom from bring RE5 to the Wii? The characters in RE5 do have better shading/lighting and maybe a little bit more detail, but honestly not a whole lot more. Developers have claimed that the Wii's graphics card is about on par with an Nvidia Geforce 2, but I don't remember any game back in day that looked as good as this does. Missing truth seems to be an ongoing problem with the Wii......

Wii Firmware 3.0 also adds Keyboard support

It seems the guys over at NeoGAF have found out that you can now use your Keyboard with the Wii after the new update. This is something Nintendo failed to mention in their announcement yesterday, could it be for future online gaming or easier Internet browsing? I say all of the above and more. For now you can use a Keyboard in the Wii Shop Channel and the Wii Message board but the Internet Channel (so far) does not support them. This is great news regardless!

If you've seen any of the videos of this game floating around, you know how relaxing this game looks to play. I'm definitely going to check this out when its released.

Super Smash Bros. Brawl Adventure mode revealed

"More than anything, Smash Bros. is a competitive action game. People have been kind enough to praise its multiplayer, but we’ve never been able to create a fully fleshed out single-player game.

This time, though, we’ve managed to create a complete side-scrolling action game. It’s storyline isn’t overwrought—it’s hastened along by a bunch of quick movies.

The Adventure mode also emphasizes character development. You’ll see many famous characters persevering under the weight of their personal histories, shouldering their unique burdens... It’s really something you won’t see anywhere else.

With so many wonderful characters appearing together, it’s like a dream action game. We’re putting tons of fighting spirit into making this game, so I hope you’re all looking forward to it.

Oh, and this is all included in the same Game Disc, so rest easy."
