Metroid Prime 3 Corruption graphical improvements

These are two screen shots of the same event taking place in MP3. The screen on top is from the MP3 build taken from September of last year and the second is from the final build of the game. The final build definitely shows more detail in the Captain's (or Sargent) face and more detail in the ship in the background on bridge. I'd say it was time well spent making sure this game looked as polished as possible before it was ready for release. Thank goodness a developer is actually going the extra mile for us Wii owners (even though its Retro and we knew they would).

I'll be honest, I enjoy the fact that the colors are a little more realistic in the newer image (rather than the red face and whatnot) but I am not too big of a fan of muted colors. They appear to be a little too lacking in color.

But this is entirely based on this one image comparison. From what I have seen of the new footage and what I played at E3 '06 there is a serious graphical upgrade. So I'm not worried in the slightest.

Remember that both screens were taken at different times and off-screen. I've seen clips of the lower screen in action and it definitely looks better than the previous version, in terms of facial detail in the character/more polygons/textures. The lower screen is dark and most likely taken from the Youtube video.
