Mario Kart Wii - Inflatable Racing Kart!?

Look kids you can race and lose in Mario Kart Wii in a whole new way! Talk about a money making scheme. This would probably only make you worse at the game and looking lame doing it. It's amusing though, so that's why I'm sharing it with you guys. Enjoy.

Prince of Persia: The Forgotten Sands - GT review

I know everyone's playing Super Mario Galaxy 2 right now, but when you get some spare time you should really check this game out too. I've been playing this Prince of Persia on the Wii (in-between Galaxy 2) and I must say that I'm quite impressed with the gameplay and attention to detail. The graphics are good-even great sometimes but what makes this game really cool is all the Wii specific actions you can perform. Go play the game and let me know what you think.

We keep seeing more and more on this game, hopefully it will get released in the states soon so before most of the game is spoiled. Looks to be epic as past info suggests.

Super Mario Galaxy 2 - is it really all that?

Yes indeed it is, but you want to know why? Read on.

I figured out why this game feels so much better to me than Galaxy 1. One of the issues I had with Galaxy 1 was that the hub world was convoluted. If you didn't play the game for a couple days you lost track of what stars you were missing and in what world. You forgot easily because just finding those worlds were not so smooth. In Galaxy 2, the maps work like Super Mario World so you can see everything you need just by flying over the level and not having to search for it. This seems like a small thing but it's big issue for me. Not only that but the game itself is just loads better and you will see why when you play it for a while.

The flow of the game is very smooth and natural also. You go from 2D to 3D seamlessly and the camera hasn't been a problem at all yet. I've only had to adjust the camera a couple times so far; I think the camera in a 3D game is probably the hardest thing to develop in a game like this and they did a really good job. The difficulty is perfect also, nothing is too hard but not too easy either. The game gives you a sort of option to go the harder path when you unlock multiple ways to get to the same destination. I've just done both ways when this happens ( like most people will). Yes the other path is harder but very satisfying when you beat it. I've died yes, but it was either because I fell off the side due to a poorly timed jump or just not knowing the level or what was coming up. The reasons why you die in this game are clear and make sense, I haven't had a "cheap, that wasn't fair" death yet. Yoshi is a god in this too, you will love him.

There's a level in World 2 that reminded me of Donkey Kong Country 1 on SNES. Remember that first water level with the piano music and how amazed we were? The same thing happened to me in Galaxy 2, beautiful water level which was side scrolling with amazingly pretty piano music that fitted perfectly. This game has it all, it's like a Nintendo fan's wet dream. No joke.

I haven't played a game that was made with so much care and attention as this one in a very long time. I forgot that a game could actually still bring this much joy to a person playing it. From what I've heard, Nintendo was working on this game ever since 2007 after Galaxy 1 so they've had time to perfect the formula and cut and add to it to make it so very, very good.

This game is not perfect (what game truly is?) the knock against it is that this is not really a sequel to Galaxy 1 but more like "this is what it should have been like" if you're ok with that, this game will pretty much make you almost forget about the first game. For those complaining about the story? No one cares, seriously.

Super Mario Galaxy 2 - IGN video review

Now that I have the game myself, I can honestly agree that this is the best game on Wii so far. It bests the original in every aspect and it's just tons of fun! A must have.

Super Mario Galaxy 2 - video review

Looks like this is one of those games that's going to go down in the video game records as one of the best ever made. I haven't played it yet but from all these reviews I'm seeing popping up today, I can see the reason.

Super Mario Galaxy 2 - new gameplay

I hope that everyone that comes here is getting this game next week. Mario games don't tend to come out all the time so we are getting a treat with this one.

Xenoblade - battle footage

The battle system looks interesting. I can't tell if the video is purposely stopping the action to highlight certain things about the system or if the game is doing that. Looks great regardless.

Super Mario Galaxy 2 - commercials

From all the previews and impressions I've been reading, it seems that this game is going to be the best thing since sliced bread. I'll be eagerly waiting, hungry and ready.

Resident Evil 4 Wii Edition - how it was meant to look

These pics were taken from the Dolphin emulator that allows Wii games to be completely re-displayed and rendered in HD. Can you imagine if the Wii had the same graphics as Gamecube and the only thing Nintendo changed was the resolution? It goes to show that graphics really haven't improved a great deal since 2005, the only thing that really makes games truly stand out these days is the clarity and texture resolution. When Nintendo releases their next system, it will most likely be 1080p but more importantly I hope Nintendo includes some kind of emulator system in it that can render the old games in HD like the Dolphin does. Not that HD is truly so important but it is becoming the norm for people these days since you can buy an HDTV for under $400. I still think the Wii has more left in terms of what could be done graphically with it, but the resolution will continue to hold it back until Nintendo sees that an upgrade is truly needed.

Super Mario Galaxy 2 - Say hello to Yoshi!

Super Mario Galaxy 2 just looks like a fuller experience than the first game. Allowing for more gameplay possibilities with Yoshi really makes a big difference. I can't wait to dive deep into the Galaxy in less than 2 weeks.

Netflix Wii commerical

Netflix seems to know how to advertise for the Wii better than just about all Third Party developers combined, and they don't even make games....

Who's using Netflix on the Wii just about everyday? I watch it all the time now, I was surprised that I could watch thousands of good movies/TV shows instantly for only $9 a month. It's a really awesome deal if you ask me.

Super Mario Galaxy 2 - walkthrough

This is a nice walkthrough since I had not seen the side scrolling beginning yet. I like how this game seems to be more accessible than the first so it will be less daunting for new players.

Super Mario Galaxy 2 - Japan's promo video

No one explains it better than the Japanese. I guess there were many casual gamers that just couldn't get into the first Mario Galaxy since the game only sold a little over 1 million copies in Japan. New Super Mario Bros. Wii on the other hand has sold many times that much in a shorter time. Making Galaxy 2 more traditional may work out for the best in the end. We'll have to wait and see.

Black Wii unboxing

This guy seems to like condoms a bit too much and sarcasm, but he successfully opened up the Black Wii box for us all to see. It's quite a nice deal that Nintendo has put together for the consumer, how could you pass up all that for only 199.99? Nice job.

Xenoblade - into the open field

Nothing gives you the feeling of freedom more than running in a beautiful open field that seems to go on forever. This is what an RPG should be like, exploring and meeting new people and gaining new powers. We all know this in theory but this game seems to hit the nail on the head, too many RPG's fail to give you that sense of a huge world. Most show you the world from a map and you just go from area to area, point to point, screen to screen. Show me the world! It seems that Monolith Software gets the idea.

Enjoy your weekend guys, we have a lot of good games coming soon to look forward to. Think of this time in-between to focus on beating all the games you've neglected since Christmas. Have fun!

Prince of Persia: The Forgotten Sands - Wii gameplay video

The gameplay looks very good in this exclusive "Prince" game for the Wii. Every preview I've read says that the graphics are really nice but so far it looks very average if you ask me. I guess I'll have to wait until the final version is released.

Tiger Woods PGA Tour 11 - Wii Trailer

Nice to see that the Disc Golf will be online this year, and Mini Golf should be really fun. The look of the game looks about the same as last year's version, maybe a tad better. Looks fun.
