The Conduit: video blowout - new level shown

These videos show the first level of the game apparently, and it's looking mighty good. Depth of field/motion blur and the advanced lighting effects and particles seem to be strongly showcasing High Voltage's Quantum 3 Engine and is much improved over the E3 build we saw a few months ago. It's really looking like it has all the bells and whistles of any Xbox 360/PS3 game, no joke.

this is looking exactly like a 360/ps3 game anyone saying otherwise either has bought a ps3/360 and a wii hoping for these graphics only to be on 360/ps3,im glad i held out for graphics because if this and MH3,god only knows what factor 5 got, normally when you wait till last to announce your game its because the game is the best so i feel spoilt with these graphics and to achieve this on 480p its amazing conduit 2 anyone

480p is not graphics, its video out resolution, this HD GRAPHICS thing makes my blood boil, there's no such thing as hd graphics there's games with display modes and native resolution of above 480p its increased native res not necessarily increased graphics please learn the difference people.....

by maintaining sd res or ed res 480p it allows the wiis bandwidth and fill rate to be very very high in game as in the amount of on screen lovely the dev can do HD is 90% hype 10% fact

yes a higher native resolution helps yes scaling helps but its not capable of making great graphics thru some kind of hd magic

frame rate/art direction/available effects/fill rate/bandwidth/lighting is what makes a game apear on screen

you can have all the resolution you wont if there's no graphics there all your guna see is ether fuzzy black and white dots like a untuned tv or a blank blue screen that tvs display wen there's no image

so again resolution is not graphics

if you made a ps2 game at native res 1080p the graphics were ps2 and thats it would building the game at 1080p make it have ps3 graphics NNNNOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

IT WOULD STILL BE PS2 GRAPHICS LOOKING ""SLIGHTLY"" SHARPER TO THE HUMAN EYE BECAUSE ITS HD

graphics resolution learn to separate them there not one in the same

480p on a quality tv set with good graphics AA FILTERING HIGH RESOLUTION/BIT COLOR can look amassing offcourse some extra res would be nice but lets not start saying resolution is more important than graphics/gameplay/framerate/fastloading/3dmouse/3dmotion

BECAUSE IT ISN'T HOW CAN A SONY/MICROSOFT FAN DARE SAY HD IS MORE IMPORTANT THAN WIIMOTE/NUNCHUCK THATS UTTER MADNESS HOW IS A MERE RESOLUTION MORE IMPORTANT THAN THE WORLDS GREATEST 3D GAMING CONTROLS DO THESE FANBOYS EVER LISTEN TO THEMSELVES.........

wii has a huge fill rate/bandwidth capability @ 480p it also benefits from tile rendering/virtual texturing/compression-real time decompression/edram/fast ram

the hollywood gpu supports a 720p fillrate but is capped 480p = huge fillrate

conduit is very good tech wise but a wii bit lacking in art/concept

The graphics look great for a Wii game but come on it's no xbox360 or PS3 game is it?! COD4 still looks twice as good

m8 i mean it looks 720p to me and i know the res has nothing to do with graphics resolution wasnt important this gen just makes dev costd high when you look at a game like this it tells you why build a good game engine and there you have it good graphics

These videos are small in size on my site due to the limitations of posting, but if you go and watch the full size video's at IGNWii then you will see that The Conduit looks pretty much like a 360 game. It actually looks very close to the style of F.E.A.R to me....a good thing indeed.

well according to the jurnos that attended nintendos press thingy the conduit looks amassing and is clearly better looking than cod 5 and remember cod 5 on wii is near x360 according to ign

so if conduit looks better i think arguing graphics is a tad out dated

conduit also proves cod 5 on wii can look and be even better BUT ACTIVATION HAVE GIMPED THE GAME (as i thought they would)

no online vehicles and 8 players online huh what!!!!!????

WAIT A DAM SECOND moh heroes 2 32 online players and 60 frames

mario kart 12 online players

conduit 16 online players

cod 5 (8) online players and vehicles have been gimped out the game

im sorry but if that isnt fanboying by activation then what is it

the cod 5 controls are a little clunky compared to conduit/moh.prime 3 IN PREVIEWS

again WHY ACTIVITION WHY WHY WHY

MY THEORY IS THIS wii if cod 5 was built properly for wii would shit on ps3 x360 versions in so many ways AND ACTIVATION knows it and the wii version got a small team and budget

I THINK THERE'S AN ELEMENT OF SIDE TAKING GOING ON AT ACTIVATION

wii version gets added modes like arcade and full zapper support but still controls are weaker than they should be and the online is gimped so ill pass

conduit and a maybe on bond

oh just add EA are doing a FPS with out vilence in it some kinda water pistal foam gun FPS game on wii

hardcore fps but with a family kiddy soak each other vib rather than blood and shit

SOUNDS GREAT but lets hope it aint kiddyfied and stands up as a real fps game

The game's really looking closer than ever to an Xbox 360 game, with the effects the engine supports. There's still room for improvement, so I hope High Voltage Software can put as much as the can before the 2009 release date. And speaking of which, have they announced the publisher yet?
