Dead Rising Wii screens

These are from NeoGAF, and they are all from the Wii version of the game. The first 3 screens on top are cut scenes taken from the 360 version but the rest are in-game running on Wii. Looks pretty darn close to original version don't you think?

my only concern is the guy behind this is the ps2 port res evil 4 director, and also the wii res evil light-gun thing BOTH NOT GRAPHICALLY IMPRESSIVE....

this better have wii graphics and not some canned ps2 port that capcon dropped or a lazy port with no funding like okarmi...

wii dont want ps2 graphics or wii wii want WII GRAPHICS and that means near x360 to the human eye not ps2

How could it have anything to do with the PS2 when Dead Rising was only released on Xbox 360 before this? This surely doesn't look like a lazy port since someone at Capcom originally said that Dead Rising wasn't possible on the Wii, and now here it is...thats gotta take some effort on their part.

I DIDNT SAY THERE WAS A PS2 VERSION I SAID A POSSIBLE DROPPED PS2 VERSION..

anyhows its confirmed new controls newer story extra weapons and items and over the shoulder camera

ITS MORE THEN LIKELY RUNNING ON A OPTERMIZED RES EVIL 4 ENGINE SO FINGERS CROSSED GOOD GRAPHICS....

This game looks great. As long as it controls well it is a day one purchase for me. Honestly, look at how many zombies there are on screen at once, it's like 20-25. And to top it off they don't all look like garbage, they look pretty good. I can't wait. I just want a release date for the US now.

Well, heres another 3rd party wii game that looks like a must buy. Right up there with MadWorld and Onechanbara.

i played dead rising on the 360 and the wii version is looking almost indentical. keep it in mind that these are the first screens of the game and they only get better from here on out. just look at the conduit the first screens people were saying it looked shocking, but now it looks to be the best looking wii game to boot. i cant wait for this game it's gonna be a first day buy 4 me. so many awesome wii games are coming out soon like madworld, the conduit, star wars tfu, deadly creatures, COD world at war, fatal frame 4, final fantasy cc, sadness, the list is endless it looks like i need a 2nd job. and 2 the dude that sed that resi umbrella chronicles was not graphically impressive have u ever played it, its one of the best looking wii titles out there in my opinion, character models were great and the environments were so detailed its unbelievable. sure the gameplay needed some work but it proved that capcom could pull off awesome graphics on wii and no doubt they will do the same wiv dead rising.

BAD NEWS latest capcom screens show a very gimped camera and restricted view also the guy doing the talking who stated x360 like graphics has all of a sudden started stating that the graphics wont be as good or will be different

i think this s in fact running on the gimped ps2 version of res evil 4 AND IS CLEARLY IN DEVELOPMENT with the gimped 4th rate capcom team this guy is the head of the guy and team i mentioned in the first post that fool on the magazine scans

every game he is in charge over looks like crap im getting very bad cut back restricted game/budget vibes

ubisoft us capcom and we turn are backs on you and monster hunter3

i owned res evil cronicals and a zapper

cronicals was on par with res evil 4 ps2 if you dont believe mii play cronicals next to res evil 4 gamecube CLEARLY ITS GIMPED GRAPHICALLY

GUESS WHY ITS THE RES EVIL 4 PS2 TEAM/ENGINE

NOT THE TEAM/ENGINE THAT WAS ON THE GAMECUBE

your seriously sujesting cronicals looks better than res evil 4 ps2 i think someones wii fanboying i love wii i totally understand what it can really do

so please dont compare conicals wii to gamecubes resident evil 4 gamecube as it looks way way way inferior AKA a ps2 game

Hi Dave. The last 2-3 weeks have certainly been exploding with Wii news. Graphically, it seems the tide is changing as far as 3rd party efforts. I was wondering - has Capcom mentioned how many zombies were they trying to have onscreen at one time? I was just curious, because apparently we are just beginning to see what the Wii can do. If I'm not mistaken, I read somewhere that some devs were able get the Gamecube to push 40 million polygons at the end of its cycle. Well, if the Wii is 2.5 - 3x the power of a Gamecube, than that's actually not too shabby. I understand there are no official numbers, but have "reliable" devs speculated maximum polygons (with full effects) for the Wii? Have any devs revealed max polygons or other benchmarks now that High Voltage, SEGA, Capcom, Factor 5(engine), and others are announcing / demonstrating some really cool stuff?

(I meant to add this to my last comment regarding max polygons for the Wii.)
As far as benchmarks go, sometimes
devs "one up" each other. A gifted programmer is able to overcome a hurdle and pushes the entire team ahead. THe game gets released and other devs go, "Wow, how'd they do that? Or "Wow, I didn't know that was possible!" So two and half years later, any numbers floating around?

i never compared resi uc 2 resi 4 on ps2. all im saying is i think resi uc looks good of course resi 4 on gamecube and wii look better. soz if i annoyed u ive always personally gone for gameplay over graphics as long as the graphics look decent and arent shitty ps2 ports i think its acceptable. if dead rising uses the ps2 resi 4 engine will still get it as long as it plays like the xbox version.
