wiiu and wii had voice chat it was a game by game based thing nintendo needs to do it wisely a seperate app for freinds and messages and notification that can run along side the games and os,this gives a full perental control to it...
i totally understand nintendos stand point its 99% nonsense 1% usful, most chat etc isnt even game based its just retarded nonsense...
i hate that gaming is becoming like everything else based on your privacy being invaded, i loved that wii wasnt like that..
chat on cod wii and messaging was perfect it was compleatly open yet not linked to a account or anything else no nonsense either switch on or off and no come backs if you played the fool

we used to play cod and give kids shit then there perants would go mad,we would kindly inform them its all Anonymous and they can simply switch us off
