They didn't say in the interview that it was running on the Wii U but it was obvious when the button icons showed up for interaction with objects during gameplay. The only depressing thing about this game announcement is that it won't be ready for release until the end of 2014 due to the limited developers working on the project with no money to do so.

At the very least I respect these guys for being so loyal to Nintendo and so loyal to game development that they are willing to make this game but only with the fans want it. I think Denis Dyack knows that this game will have to be his and the teams best effort yet if he going to continue in game development. I'm hoping for the best since everyone wins if it is successful!
