Pikmin 3 Gameplay Debut

The Nintendo press conference sure started out really good. Pikmin 3 looks fantastic and I'm excited to finally play a true sequel to the series in 8 years. I think however, all of us were hoping for a more core title to close the show than Nintendoland. Hopefully Nintendoland will come packed in or pre-installed on every Wii U system, I'm sure it will be fun but for presentation wise I think it should have been shown first or during a demonstration of the Wii U system menu.

Nintendo was clearly holding back here judging by the game list they released after the show. Almost every game that was announced is a launch title; or launch window title (exception being Rayman Legend and Alien). Heck; Madden, FIFA, and a few others from Activision weren't even on the list.

They clearly wanted to prove that they have a huge launch lineup ready for the holiday season. And I wouldn't be surprised if Nintendo reveals the rest of the details at their Fall Media Summit sometime in September (based on the pre-Wii launch record).

The first 15 minutes of the E3 conference was magical, and then it was downhill from there. Nothing afterwards was terrible (unlike the promo burying the hardcore spot at Nintendo Direct); but they couldn't get back the groove that the presentation got into with Pikmin; as much as I enjoy seeing Harley appearance.

@Anon: There are lots of developers in this world where playing with their butts and sniffing their fingers would be an improvement.
