While granted I haven't actually played this game yet, I have a feeling that I'd enjoy playing this in the single player mode more than multiplayer. I've always liked tackling Mario games alone, and the thought of someone else there to "mess me up" is not very exciting to me. I'll have to wait and see when I play the game since everyone says multiplayer is great fun despite what I said.

I have played the game in 4 (and 3) player mode and it was a serious blast. I could see me wanting to tackle the single player version at some point but the multiplayer was such a blast I would find it hard not to want to try that first. That's assuming of course there are other people around to play with me.
This is the last game I am buying this year. The rest of the games I want have to hit the Christmas list. I'm sure this will tide me over.
