Tales of Symphonia 2 is now a must have!

We have seen many screens and some footage of Tales of Symphonia: Dawn of a New World and they all look "good" but nothing that made me think it was a must have game....until now that is. You must watch the entire trailer to appreciate the presentation, animation and the gameplay. It looks amazing in my opinion and definitley just shot to the top of my list for this holiday for games on the Wii. Not to mention that it fills the need for a really good RPG that the Wii still doesn't have.

Tell me how you feel about this game after seeing the new trailer.

I think I saw that trailler 3 or 4 months ago. The fighting looks swell but I'm affraid the voice acting will be annoying as hell, and the music brutally cheesy. I know I haven't heard it in English yet, but the prospect bothers me all the same. Hope this one is good.

I've never seen this trailer before so it's new to me. As far as the voice acting, it is usually annoying in these types of games but you have to look past it. The music however should be good like the previous game.

I have never been a very big fan of RPGs but this one looks pretty good. It looks more action oriented than most RPGs. Either way though, I will most likely pass on this one though simply because it's not generally my genre.

Here's a question for you MetalDave:

Tales of Symphonia 2 or Monster Hunter 3; you can only get one?

I'm leaning towards Tales right now. The only reason is because there is no info on Monster Hunter 3 besides that awesome trailer that showed the real-time graphics running on the Wii hardware. Other than that I'd have to choose Tales since it just looks like such a fun game and the battles look so exciting.

I really know nothing about either one. I only played about an hour of the first Tales on the Cube and the Monster Hunter series I've never even seen gameplay of, just that trailer.

I hope we get more at E3.

I hope you're referring to Voice Acting in general. People who speak English and are obsessed with the Japanese voices and hate the English ones annoy me greatly. I have a message for everyone like that: You speak English, quit crying, get over it, quit being fags. Now back to the topic at hand: Here are some things that people should know about this game.

1. No world map. (Biggest flaw ever.)
2. Party for most of the game is half monsters.
3. Original Tales characters cannot level up.
4. Doesn't have the ability to use a Gamecube controller. (Second biggest flaw.)

Don't get me wrong, I'm getting it because I love the first game, but they should not have rushed it into a budget project...they should have waited until after Vesperia was done to work on it.

The problem is not the english language, it is the quality of voice acting that makes the mood of the game all different. More than often there is no emotion in english dubbing... Those like me who prefer japanese voices for what they worth as original content is only because of the lack of quality in the english version. Now you stop crying about those who prefer it another way, quit beeing a fag and respect different opinions.

Even if you don't publish this comment because you disrespect my opinion, that will only prove me right, and at least you and I will know it.
