Yes thats right, I went ahead and said it. Recently G4 posted some videos clips of Morgan Webb and Adam Sessler talking about what they expect to see at E3 next week. Adam said that we should expect to see a lot games for all systems to be revealed, blah blah Halo3 blah blah Lair blah blah Mario. Morgan Webb said basically the same thing, sounding rehearsed even. News? Hardly. What kind of audience watches G4? Why are the hosts stating the obvious and why do we care about what the hell they say?
If any of you actually watch G4 for the gaming news, you either A: Don't have the internet or B: too lazy to go on the internet to find the most recent gaming news or C: You think Morgan Webb is hot and can't believe she likes to play video games so you watch. (Jessica Chobot from IGN looks better in my opinion)
What annoys me about G4 is the way they talk to the listener and the way the entire game industry is portrayed. The Wii is currently at almost 9 million systems sold worldwide and is out pacing Xbox 360 and PS3 in sales by a large margin. You'd never know any of this if you watch G4 since these systems are portrayed as either being better than Wii (they would never say it, but it is implied) or when a game is released of all systems, they say for Wii and the Next Gen systems. The Wii is actually the ONLY Next Generation system out there. Xbox 360 and PS3 are from the Nintendo 64 Generation with better graphics. Playstation 3 has some motion controls put in but poorly implemented and cannot really be considered as any kind of leap in play control.
As for Morgan Webb and Adam Sessler, why should anyone care what they say if you have the internet in your home? Morgan Webb doesn't know a damn thing that anyone else who comes here or goes to Gonintendo or IGN doesn't know. The truth of the matter is that G4 exists for the money. They found out that they can make a lot money from basically regurgitating everything on the internet and giving cute girls a job to attract more viewers. Don't let what they say fool you, G4 doesn't decide console races and they don't decide sales. I remember when they were comparing PS2, Gamecube and Xbox versions of Need for Speed back in the day. The Gamecube version was a poorly done port of the PS2 version (of course) and the G4 hosts said that it was the system not being powerful enough to make the game look as good as the PS2 version, NOT that the developers dropped the ball. That is the kind of stuff that has been going on for years on G4, its not new. Spike TV is pretty bad as well but they don't cover games as much as G4.
G4 announced that they will be covering E3 live this year. Will Nintendo be brushed aside for Microsoft and Sony coverage? I would like for once that Nintendo be given their due on these TV programs (internet sites are doing this now) since the Wii is such a smashing success. However, how much does G4 really matter in the grand scheme of things? How many people really care about G4 in the first place?

Notice how you only mentioned Morgan Webb and Adam Sessler, the hosts of X-Play? That's how much G4 even matters to viewers anymore. In fact, X-Play was the only thing worth watching ever since G4 merged with TechTV, and then killed it.
At first, having a channel dedicated to gaming sounds awesome. But when I watched most of G4's programming, I felt like I didn't want to become a gamer because the shows and the hosts (with the exception of Morgan Webb and Adam Sessler) were bland, uninteresting, obnoxious and downright annoying.
After rotting my brain and my eyes with G4, I stopped watching all of it altogether. Then, I heard G4 has been cancelling their shows and then revamping them to something completely different, something totally irrelevant to gaming! G4 should've been dead a long time ago, in my opinion.
I agree. I USED to like Adam Sessler and Morgan Webb on TechTV. They were great and acted a lot more humble about games. Now I find myself getting sick of them also. G4 has taken the "real" out of them and put in the "fake".
well overrated, maybe. All i know for sure is Morgan Webb is quite possibly the most annoying person I've ever witnessed. She truly thinks she a journalist, simply bc she talks in that rehearsed up and down pitch every sentence. If you pay attention, every single thing she says finishes on the same note as the sentence before. Her pitch simply goes up and down throughout making her "seem" like a television news host. How in the world can biohazard say webb and sessler are the best part of G4? how much crack did u smoke before u added those retarded comments. I actually dont mind the programming on G4, if ur a dude who actually has a girl you would love it, but if you some lonely dweeb who oogles over morgan webb, then ur extremely desperate or blind. She looks like a wookie, shes pale as ghost, and her voice reminds me of a librarian...who even when you concentrate cannot seem to keep you eyes open while she speaks. whoever said they act like theyre better than everybody else was dead right, they think bc they have a stupid lil segment on G4 that theyre celebrities? hahahaha ya right morgan webb is a celebrity hahahahah. her and olivia are on there simply bc they need "pretty women" in front of the camera, bc no one would watch sessler all day. Morgan Webb is literally the biggest tool ive seen on TV, and its embarrasing that a company would hire someone with limited skills. As a GRADUATE of journalism, it makes me sick to my stomach that others who have put their life into broadcasting are passed over, for the robot we know as morgan webb. She DOES regurgitate anything written on the internet, and to me she is the worst thing on Television, she actually keeps me from watching their show. She tries to avoid being monotone, but her ho-hum rollercoaster pitch going up and down in the same spot each sentence, is sooo annoying. ITs like she read the cliff notes on how to become and journalist, and bc shes got boobs and plays a game or two per week she gets a job on G4? Aghhh! I would rather see allison haislip simply bc shes herself, not some contrived personality that mimicks a real journalist. Morgan.....NO ONE THINKS YOUR WITTY, INTERESTING, FUNNY, OR A REAL JOURNALIST. PEOPLE ACTUALLY TURN THE CHANNEL TO AVOID YOU. and oh my god dont get me started on "the show other networks wont touch" G4 underground? hahahah. so the real journalists wont touch it but...morgan webb will? hahah. Ever wonder why other networks "wont touch it"? bc its NOT NEWS WORTHY. no real journalist would bother. DID anyone see the 1st episodes preview where she interviews these wanna be super heroes who actually dress up like they have powers, but all they do is call the police to rat out people. jesus i mean thats what other networks wont touch? So this hardcore show can only be hosted by the most hardcore host on TV... If she thinks the SNES version is the original than she is dumber then previously suspected. She missed two other games. :D (One for the 3DO. God... Horrible!)

In another part she is asked if she made a game what would it be... True to "Gamer Whore" fashion she gives an answer that is stupid and pointless. She says she FPS are her favorite games! And they are already invented. So... Why if she loves FPS so much does she list her "favorite games" as Legend of Zelda, and Phantasy Star... As far as I remember these aren't FPS games! Or does she think FPS stands for Female Pussy Style? Or something just as stupid.
She ends her interview with "I would also like to see some more games aimed at women that aren't insipid and poorly made."
