Spider-Man 3 got you down? Great graphics are coming to the Wii very soon

Do yourself a favor and turn the sound off if you are going to watch this trailer. The guy from 1up.com keeps bashing the Wii's control while he is playing it, this is before the Wii was released and I know for a fact that many people who have gotten used to the Wii by now would not be such winning morons like this guy who can play the game just fine but keeps saying it makes him feel so bad at playing video games. LOL.

Anyway, this video serves as a reminder that a game done on the Wii from the ground up can look fantastic. This clip of Metroid Prime 3 is old and by now the game probably looks a lot better since it is nearing completion. I can't wait to see how awesome it looks.

Spider-Man 3 was made from the ground up for the Wii and it looks like a complete piece of crap compared to MP3. Both games made from the ground up, but only one developer actually is putting time and resources into their game. Spider-Man 3 is not a good example of the Wii's power at all. Just because a developer makes a game from the ground up on the Wii doesn't mean that the power of the system is going to be used to its full extent. Vicarious Visions should be ashamed of their poor effort on such a beloved franchise as Spider-Man. When people see games like this on their Wii it can be easy to forget that the system is more powerful than that. Developers (like Vicarious Visions) make it seem like they really tried to get the most out the hardware and yet the game still looks like a mess.

I hope Spider-Man 3 on the Wii has terrible sales because that will be the only way developers will get the hint that people are not going to buy games that have no true effort put into them. That being said, I do like a lot of the gameplay in Spider-Man 3 on the Wii (Web Slinging). However, the graphics are too inexcusably bad for the Wii when it is at least twice as powerful as Gamecube. This is a broken record that needs to stop.

So, enjoy the trailer of Metroid Prime 3 and pass on Spidey.

Spider-Man 3 on all versions wasn't good at all anyway. The Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 versions did a little better, but the game wasn't very redeemable.

My post was mainly about the graphics of the Wii version being extremely below par for a game being made from the ground up on the Wii. People say it was a rush job, but why? Everyone knew Spider-Man 3 was coming out well in advance, there is no excuse for that.

Oh he is trust me. Obviously doesn't "get" what the Wii is all about. That is why I suggested turning the sound off on the trailer since this guy trys to make the Wii remote sound like its just so terrible for playing a FPS.

"See, see I can't even catch this guy..."

What a moron.
