Wii now in more demand than launch day

“Many retailers are reporting some instances of higher demand for Wii in the New Year than they had experienced for launch last year as word of mouth and interest in Wii continues to spread and grow,” a Nintendo spokesperson told MCV.

"We're making constant and multiple deliveries to retailers across the UK to cope with the unprecedented demand for Wii highlighted by its record breaking UK launch,” added Nintendo’s spokesperson.

It seems that once word of mouth has spread, everyone wants a Wii for themselves. Not only that but the Wii remote itself is a hot item since you can hack the controller to play World of Warcraft on your PC, or any PC game for that matter.

Just what i like to hear. People wanting a wii. I tell people who don't have one that there missing out. let's hope that 07 is even better than 06.

I knew this would happen.....

To most Hardcore gamers wii is the second system to have, and the party system so wii will get exposed to ALOT of non-gamers and common people. Exmaple:

20 people buy a Wii
10 out 20 have a party with they're Wii
From each party were looking at 1 to 10 more people looking to buy a Wii.

Common Sense....
1+1=2
2+2=4
4+4=8..........
Let's fast forward
2,000,000+2,000,000=4,000,000

A.K.A. Hardcore Gamers are moving the Wii For us
I call them Mii Minions

Mii Minion:
A Hardcore Gamer that unknowingly sell Wii to the masses and sell expect they primary system (360/PS3) to be the market leader.

That was a very interesting take on the Wii popularity. I never thought about it in that way.
