Now these are the kind of graphics that should have been on display since the launch of the Wii U. While no one can comment on the gameplay besides "hoping it turns out fun" this game looks like it continues where Super Mario 3D World left off in terms of the graphical effects being shown. This new Sonic game is the first Wii U game to be running on Cryengine 3 and is using detail similar to games like Knack on PS4 with the lighting and DX11 quality shading effects. Hopefully this marks a start of more games being made from the ground up for the Wii U and not just old ports.
