Manhunt 2's violence really that big a deal?

Having played the game, I really don't think the censored version is much different from any other M rated game (I also think the game is good). I'll let you be the judge though and let me know what you think.

I was interested in this game until I heard the AI was just atrocious. Is it really that bad because enemies that cannot see me when I am standing 90 degrees to their right and only 4 feet away really bug me? The only saving grace for me here is the discounted price. Is it actually worth buying?

Rockstar did the AI like this on purpose. It has everything to do with the "cover" aspect of the game. When you are in the dark the enemies can't see you even if they are only a couple of feet away. When you are in the light they can see you very very good and they'll come after you with a vengeance. They will however see you if they are chasing you into a dark area and are right behind you because they just saw you going into that darkened area. The gameplay actually works well this way in my opinion because when they see you they will kill you in a few hits, especially later in the game. If you like the suspense of not being seen and then getting the pay off of killing them before they kill you, then I'd buy this game. The gun system is good too, similar to RE4 Wii but I'd have to give the nod to RE4's camera system over Manhunt 2's. The gun aspect is only one part of the gameplay though where in RE4 it's all about it. I'd recommend this game, it's not that shocking or way different from other Mature games out there and it's fun. The locations in the game are what give it's feel since you are in some pretty messed up places filled with some sick and messed up people.
